How to make a wattle and daub home.

The cheapest way to build a house is to use wood and mud. This kind of home is not very waterproof and may need repairing after heavy rains.

First decide how big your house will be, and where it will go.

Then put your main poles in the ground, to make the corners of your house.

Add extra poles to support the roof and walls.

Now weave smaller sticks and branches between these poles to fill in the walls. Remember to leave gaps for any doors and windows.

Use mud to plaster over your walls and fill in the gaps between the branches.

Add a tin roof to your house and nail it to the frame.
